Who We Are
The Son of Lé Sword Foundation — A Jack and Carrie Lé Flore Foundation is a proposed 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for academically motivated students from underserved and economically disadvantaged communities.
Established in honor of Jack and Carrie Lé Flore, the Foundation embodies a commitment to education, family legacy, intellectual development, and the advancement of future generations.
Our primary focus is assisting African American students from inner-city and underserved communities, while extending support to other eligible students experiencing financial hardship.
We recognize that admission to a private boarding school, college, or university represents an extraordinary opportunity. However, the financial demands associated with preparing for and entering these institutions can create barriers that extend beyond tuition.
The Son of Lé Sword Foundation exists to bridge the gap between educational acceptance and educational preparedness.
Through academic stipends, technology assistance, dormitory essentials, literacy initiatives, and transitional support, we help students enter their educational institutions equipped with the resources and confidence necessary to succeed.
Mission & Vision
Our Mission
To empower students from underserved communities by providing the educational resources, financial assistance, residential necessities, and transitional support needed to successfully matriculate, integrate, and thrive in private boarding schools, colleges, and universities. Inspired by the legacy of Jack and Carrie Lé Flore, our mission is to help ensure that financial circumstances do not prevent deserving students from pursuing academic excellence.
Our Vision
To build a lasting philanthropic legacy in which educational opportunity is accompanied by meaningful preparation, empowering generations of scholars to pursue academic achievement, personal independence, and leadership. We envision a future where students from disadvantaged communities can enter distinguished educational institutions with dignity, confidence, and the resources necessary to compete, contribute, and succeed.

Our Legacy
A Foundation Built on Family. A Legacy Continued Through Education.
Jack and Carrie Lé Flore
The Son of Lé Sword Foundation proudly carries the institutional designation A Jack and Carrie Lé Flore Foundation, honoring the family legacy upon which its philanthropic vision is established.
The Foundation represents a commitment to transforming the values of family, responsibility, education, and generational advancement into meaningful opportunities for young people.
Through this charitable endeavor, the names Jack and Carrie Lé Flore become associated with a lasting mission: helping students overcome the financial and practical obstacles that stand between educational ambition and academic achievement.
Our commitment extends beyond a single scholarship, donation, or academic year. We seek to establish an enduring institution whose impact can be measured through the students it supports, the opportunities it creates, and the generations it inspires.
Their names represent the legacy. Our students represent its future.
Our Commitment
We believe a student who has earned admission to an educational institution deserves the opportunity to arrive prepared.
No promising scholar should begin an academic journey without essential bedding, appropriate clothing, educational technology, textbooks, or the personal necessities required for everyday student life simply because their family cannot afford them.
The Son of Lé Sword Foundation seeks to remove these barriers through thoughtful charitable assistance, educational engagement, and direct support.
We are not simply helping students attend school.
We are helping them enter prepared, belong with confidence, and pursue excellence.
